Welcome to my Wedding Photography Blog

Hi, thank you for visiting my blog. Photography is a one of the oldest arts but now more than ever it has become more important and relevant in our lives. As a Professional Photographer it is important to me to convey and articulate the story behind every moment; as a Professional your satisfaction and experience is paramount, nothing it more important than you. As a Photographer I have a responsibility to pause a moment in time, bottle it up and allow it to because a treasured item.

I am based in scenic Buckinghamshire but I do travel across the country. Please contact me if you need any assistance. I am more than happy to talk about your Wedding day... all day long!

Lucy and Ian Usher. Come as a guest, not as a photographer :-)

I’ll be honest, my heart sank a little when Ian said I wasn’t to be their photographer on their Wedding day. I was more nervous being a guest than I ever am as a Wedding Photographer. I’ve been photo shooting Weddings for so long now that it has become natural for me to be one step ahead; to pre-empt where the couple are going to be, what they are doing, searching for angles (etc..) BUT, as a guest I wasn’t sure what to do! However, I had a plan…bring my SLR along!!! (genius). I had something to hide behind, I had a purpose. I’m not someone who sits on his hands and let’s the world go by. I even played a small part as a roady lugging equipment out of the church and into the reception venue.

As it turned out, I’m so glad I wasn’t the photographer. I was able to talk to people I recognized from church but was never introduced, I was able to relax into the day. I had a fab day and yes I did take a few photos but I promised I didn’t frighten anyone with the biggest camera at the Wedding haha!!

One final thing, Lucy look ab-sooo–lute—-ly gorgeous, and there was much pride on Ian’s face. During his speech something flew into my eye which made it very teary…(ahem).

Anyway, enough boring waffling from me. Below are the photos I took as a guest of the Ushers.

12 April, 2009 - 8:09 pm Kelly - love the one with the light at centre top of the reception - brilliant! and enjoyed the way you set up the 3 photos in a line of them dancing, was like a little story, very cute, made me smile! You capture it so well, its as if I'm there watching it happen. I love the 'in the momentness' you manage to achieve in your work. Never change, your work is amazing!

20 April, 2009 - 12:19 pm Ian U - Alright sir... thank you for coming and thanks for these photographs, they're great! I really hope you enjoyed the day and that being a fish out of water wasn't too unsettling an experience for you! i.
