Wedding rehearsal at Ibstone Church, nr StokenChurch, Buckinghamshire

Wedding rehearsals are an important part for a wedding photographer. It gives the photographer a sense of what is going to happen and the option to iron out any potential bumps along the way, an obvious one being where can the photographer stand during the ceremony; some pastors don’t like any cameras anywhere near the bride and groom during the wedding.

However today at a rehearsal I attended for Emily and Glen everything was very laid back. The Pastor was very cool about things and even let me move about a bit which is a first.

Naturally I took my camera to do some test shots and it was the first time I used my Nikon 24-70mm since it came back from Nikon to be serviced so I was very pleased to have it back in my hands again.

The church itself is tucked away from anywhere so it is surrounded by forest by all sides; the structure is small but has so much charm. Once I stepped inside it was just a lovely and very English church with alot of history. Being a Christian it does feel like home whenever I step into a church, especially a building which is old. Because of it’s small stature it will be a full house at the wedding tomorrow, but I cannot wait. It looks like it’s going to be a good one!!
