This is just a quick blog about a recent photo shoot I did with a friend of mine Kevin Bond. He’s not a professional model by any means but the camera does like him.
He was great to work with. Some people just photograph extremely well and Mr Bond (as I like to call him) was fantastic to work with. Amateur models are a mixed bag, some may look fantastic in the real world but the magic is a bit harder to find through the lens; it comes down to how comfortable they are in front of a camera; you really have to be yourself and relax to get the best out of a photo shoot. Fortunately that is one our strengths here at Pow Pow Pictures, often people come away from a photo session actually enjoying it!
I have photographed Mr Bond on numerous occasions with his lovely wife and son, but this was the first time it was just him in front of the camera for a full 2 hour photo session modelling clothing.
I played around with various types of colour tints, even went so far as doing a strong green/blue combination but it didn’t work. In the end I settle for a slight sepia tint.
