My job isn’t always about weddings, in fact it is necessary for me to explore and shoot other facets of Photography, so it was a privilege to be asked by my good friend Peter Griffith at All People Photography to help him shoot the Santa Fun Run in Oxford.

I was shooting a charity event last Friday in London’s Hurlingham club. While I was there, a couple of gentlemen approached me and asked if I could photograph their cupcakes; I had a spare 5 minutes so I went to their stand. First impressions were that they looked great and well presented. After I had taken a few angles they asked me to try one. My first bite into the cupcake was so smooth and soft that it was love at first sight.

You may be asking what does this have to do with Weddings? Well the company that makes them has made them for Weddings! It’s a tenuous link, but you have to give them a call and try it for yourself!!

It’s taken me a while but finally the official photos from the Miss Buckinghamshire 2010 finals are now online for everyone to view, browse and purchase. There have been steady stream of purchases already which is fantastic and even though it was only launched earlier this afternoon there have been well over 5000 views!!

Marriage proposal at a Music gig. Picturedrome, Nothampton.

Yours truly has photographed many weddings so I’m usually there at the official part of the marriage, but Saturday night was the first time I was there for a proposal!

I just happened to be at the PictureDrome in Northampton photographing a gig when in the middle the band asked someone to join them on stage, then this guy called out a name of a girl and then it clicked. I had my Nikon D3 ready but I needed the flash (thankfully I packed that). I quickly grabbed it and managed to get these shots. I know they’re friends of the band but I don’t know their names. I wish them well…

Jazz Music for your Wedding day.

So you’ve organized the venue, the photographer (naturally), the flowers, the dress and the food. But somewhere along the line you have to consider music for your ceremony and reception.

Is it better to have a DJ or a live band? That would depend on your budget but most would want a live band if money was not a defining factor.

I recommend what time of music you should have, but I can recommend a band. A few weeks ago I had the priviledge of photographing a jazz band called Jazz Juice. They are based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. They are made up of 5 very talented musicians each providing a very smooth and classic soundtrack to your wedding.

I cannot recommend them enough, and trust me when I say I have heard alot of Wedding Music!

Jade Parson’s Valentine’s Photo Shoot Day 5

So here we have it, the last shots from the Valentine’s Photo Shoot with Jade. It has been tremendous fun going through, selecting and editing the photos. Trust me, it’s not hard work if I have to look at a beautiful brunette all day!

I said to Jade at the beginning of the day that I really wanted to capture her face, especially her eyes and I hope I have achieved that. Mind you, it wasn’t that hard; with the combination of great lighting, patience, a hard working model and THOSE eyes all I had to do was make sure I was pointing in the right direction! Oh and not forgetting the wonderful snow we had in Aylesbury. It was very chilly, but I’m sure Jade would agree it was well worth it!

Without doubt once Jade is back from her travels around New Zealand and Australia we’ll do some more shots with another theme. I’m sure I can come up with something. Perhaps a Bridal theme or a Bikini shoot at a beach!? Oh, my life is hard

Ok, this has nothing to do with photography, but it does capture a surreal (and totally awesome) experience in a real world settting. I have always loved musicals and ever since I was a wee little lad I wondered what it would be like if everyone just spontaneously got into a dance routine!! I always had questions like where would they rehearse? How would they know when to do it? This video lives out that dream for me in such a spetacular way and in Liverpool Street Station, London! Simply awesome.

Full Day Photographic Coverage

We can start shooting from what ever time you require us to, no matter how early. We work with you prior to the Wedding Day to plan a shooting schedule, so we know where to be at the right time to get the best shots. The total shooting period is up to you. Your Wedding Day has to run like clockwork, so we keep shooting until a reasonable hour. I do not like to set specific times, because each Wedding is unique and different, so we work around you.

Signed Picture Frame
A classic, dark wooden frame measuring 23” by 14”, with a canvas so your guests can write their messages to you on your day. In the middle will be a 6” by 4” photograph of your choosing, which we will insert later.

Jorgensen Wedding Album
There are Wedding Albums, and then there are Great Wedding Albums. Based in Australia, Jorgensen Wedding Albums are beautifully handcrafted works of art. Pre Wedding Shoot

Portrait DVD
