Wedding photography is a highly pressured and competitive career so I am always looking for new ideas to raise the profile of my humble profession. So just by playing around with Apple’s iPhoto which comes pre installed on every Apple Mac, in my case a 2007 Mac Pro desktop, I compiled this short little video from the last wedding I photographed.

I wanted a video to document the shoot as I knew it would be fun. Kelly was in charge of the video shoot while I concentrated on directing Jade. Kelly did a great job! I asked her to shoot as much as she could… had I been in charge of video I wouldn’t have stopped at all

The video is shot entirely on a Nikon D90 in standard mode. It’s a great little camera and certainly complements my Nikon D3.

A special thanks to Pete Edwards and the rest of Red Bullets for allowing me to use their track Shrink Wrap as the soundtrack.

I’m a Nikon lover through and through. There is very little that will persuade me to move, however because I have a passion in video (I got into that before photography over 20 years ago) I was stunned at the quality of this video made by the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Nikon’s D90 produces HD video so I’m going to hunt around for something as stylish shot by a proper film director. I’m not interested in “home movie” amerteur shots that aren’t properly edited and directed.

I’m a huge fan of music as you may have gathered, so when one of my favourite comedians does a one man band mime it is priceless. It’s a old video, but it is still a classic I wish to share.
