BASHFEST

THE LARGEST RC EVENT IN THE UK

Radio Control Cars is still a hobby that has not really exploded into the minds of Brits yet; you need the space, time and financial resources to sustain this hobby, and often it can be a solitary pastime. This is where Bashfest comes into play.

This bi-annual RC Car event attracts over 200 cars and hundreds of more enthusiasts to a field in Northampton. Over the bank holidays, many camp over the 3 days to really soak up the experience.

I have several RC Cars myself, my pride and joy being a rather old LOSI DBXL 5th Scale buggy; however it has been damaged for a while now, so instead I pack my camera gear including a Sony A6300 which can shoot video at 120fps at 1080p. For photos I bring along my Canon 5D Mark 3 with my enormous 100-400mm lens. As you can see I can really get some detailed shots of these fabulous RC cars in action.
